Is Harbhajan Singh the best Indian spinner for Twenty20 cricket internationals?
Harbhajan Singh had a great outing in the Twenty20 cricket World cup. But, one wonders whether Harbhajan Singh is the best spinner the Indian cricket team has for Twenty20 cricket matches
The alternatives to Harbhajan Singh that come to our mind include Piyush Chawla and Ramesh Powar
While Harbhajan Singh grabbed his chances,Piyush Chawla was unlucky to miss out on the Twenty20 cricket World cup
Piyush Chawla was really unlucky to miss out on the Twenty20 cricket World cup.Piyush Chawla is of course a really good spin bowler as he proved in the England cricket tour.
The good thing about Piyush Chawla is that compared to Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla is the better batsman.Piyush Chawla could have come up with a few good knocks in the Twenty20 cricket World cup, as Harbhajan failed to impress in the few chances that he got to bat in the Twenty20 cricket World cup
Ramesh Powar is probably still a better spinner than Harbhajan Singh, but his fielding rules him out
Ramesh Powar is a more genuine off spinner than Harbhajan Singh and has proved time and again, that he is probably the best off spinner that the Indian cricket team has produced for a very long time
However, Ramesh Powar’s fielding could be a very big liability for the Indian cricket team in Twenty20 cricket matches and that rules Ramesh Pawar out of the Indian Twenty20 cricket team
In summary,Harbhajan Singh is probably Indian cricket’s best option for Twenty20 cricket but Piyush Chawla could run him close in the future
