Shaun Pollock, Mumbai Indians IPL hero

IPL-Share the Good Times malvindervirdi

Shaun Pollock is the hero of the Mumbai Indians cricket team in the IPL

Shaun Pollock is an unassuming, almost shy, unpolitical guy who always lets his cricket do the talking- a personality similar to that of Sachin Tendulkar

Shaun Pollock is probably one of the best allrounders ever in international cricket

Shaun Pollock is almost never spoken about in the same hushed tones as the great allrounders such as Ian Botham, Imran Khan, Kapil Dev or even Jaques Kallis,, who is regarded as the best allrounder of the current generation

Shaun Pollock is very easily the better bowler compared to Kallis and probably deserved a better batting position than the number four he batted in test matches

Shaun Pollock : South African cricket team’s loss is Mumbai Indians’ gain

Shaun Pollock retired early, tired of the selection policies of the South African cricket selectors, and the Mumbai Indians stood to gain by his retirement, as Shaun Pollock is now available for the entire IPL cricket series for the Mumbai Indians

Shaun Pollock, the unsung hero of South African cricket, is now the hero of the teeming Mumbai metropolis

Sachin Tendulkar: to make IPL Twenty20 debut for Mumbai Indians today

Sachin Tendulkar: Eye on the Ball

Sachin Tendulkar is set to make his Twenty20 debut for the Mumbai Indians today

Sachin Tendulkar is set to debut for the Mumbai Indians today against the Chennai SuperKings in a cracking encounter.

Could Sachin Tendulkar’s entry make the Mumbai Indians into a champion cricket team?

Already Sachin Tendulkar ’s Mumbai Indians are showing signs of coming to terms with the Twenty20 format and getting their combination right.

Sachin Tendulkar ’s debut for the Mumbai Indians could provide them the spark needed to take the team to the next level in the Indian Premier League ( IPL )

With Sachin Tendulkar in the team,Jayasurya and Bravo could now play more freely for the Mumbai Indians cricket team in the Indian Premier League

Jayasurya and Bravo seem to have been holding themselves back in the recent matches for the Mumbai Indians, for fear that the team would fold up badly

With Sachin Tendulkar in the side, Jayasurya and Bravo can now play more freely and possibly provide the Mumbai Indians the firepower needed to supplement the recent good form of Ashish Nehra

It remains to be seen if Sachin Tendulkar ’s entry into the Mumbai Indians cricket team will them a champion side but Modi ’s Indian Premier League (IPL) now has another reason to celebrate.

Balaji hattrick video for Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings X1 Punjab cricket team in IPL

Balaji bowls a hattrick for Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings X1 Punjab cricket team in the Indian Premier League, dont miss this video

Lakshmipathy Balaji has proved once again that there is more to Balaji than his sparkling smile that lighted up the entire Pakistan nation during the India Vs Pakistan cricket tour

Balaji breaks out of the wilderness by his incredible hattrick against the Kings X1 Punjab cricket team in the IPL

Balaji ’s hattrick was the final chapter of his bowling spell in the Indian Premier League match for the Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings X1 Punjab, but even earlier, Balaji showed that he is wily as ever , by bowling a series of disguised slower balls that often had the batsmen as perplexed as a penguin in the Sahara desert (sounds like a Siddhuism, doesnt it? :-) )

Balaji hattrick video – the first hattrick of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament

This cool cricket video includes the Balaji ’s last over in the Chennai Super Kings Vs Kings X1 Punjab IPL cricket match- Balaji’s hattrick was of course the highlight of the entire Twenty20 cricket match

Shane Warne,IPL ’s best captain

shane warne in india

Shane Warne is the IPL ’s best captain

After the first couple of matches in the IPL, Shane Warne ’s Rajasthan Royals seemed like a cricket team that has already thrown in the towel.

Munaf Patel , the leading bowler of the Rajasthan Royals, criticized his team ’s composition and seemed to suggest that he was prepared to go back on his traditional injury leave again and leave his captain Shane Warne in the lurch

But Shane Warne , the Rajasthan Royals captain, had other plans- and the Rajasthan Royals are now the leading team in the IPL (Indian Premier League)

Shane Warne, the best captain the Australian cricket team never had

Shane Warne would have probably extended his career if he had been appointed Australian cricket captain, instead of Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting ’s appointment as Australian cricket captain in place of Shane Warne was the biggest blunder the Australian Cricket Board has made yet

Not only is the Australian cricket team looking more and more vulnerable in the absence of Shane Warne and Mcgrath, but Ricky Ponting is also leading a “pack of wild dogs” instead of professional cricketers

Shane Warne is the IPL ’s best captain and the best advertisement of the Indian Premier League’s success

Bangalore Royal Challengers have given up in IPL?

rahul dravid despairs as the Bangalore Royal Challengers lose again

Originally uploaded by Rajaram S

Bangalore Royal Challengers seem to have lost faith in themselves, especially their captain,Rahul Dravid

The Bangalore Royal Challengers were supposed to be one of the best teams of the Indian Premier League, but the team is getting unstuck due to some rather insipid performances from the so called star players such as Dravid & Chanderpaul and some really weird captaincy decisions by Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid seems to want the Bangalore Royal Challengers to lose

Rahul Dravid has been scheming rather well to ensure that the Bangalore Royal Challengers do not win a single cricket match again in the Indian Premier League ( IPL )

You can forgive Rahul Dravid ’s insipid and slow batting in the recent IPL match between Bangalore Royal Challengers and the Kolkata KnightRiders, for Rahul Dravid is after all the “Wall that will not budge”.

But, to treat the gentle off cutters of Saurav Ganguly with as much fear as one would treat a Wes Hall beamer, was simply inexcusable and unfair to his Bangalore Royal Challengers team.

Rahul Dravid has been careful to ensure that the matchwinners of the Bangalore Royal Challengers are either left out or do not get to bat enough

Whats the point of having match winners in the Bangalore Royal Challengers team such as Misbah Ul Haq or Cameron White , if they are either not selected or allowed to come in to bat after the damage has been done by Rahul Dravid’s slow and laborious batting

Bangalore Royal Challengers still have a good team and if handled well, can do well in the IPL, but Rahul Dravid would probably have to step down

As the GreatBong points out in his hilarious blog, the Bangalore Royal Challengers seem to be royally challenged

Rahul Dravid has his head in hands, but the Bangalore Royal Challengers would do better in the IPL if his head on the block

Sourav Ganguly’s Kolkata Knight Riders vs Bangalore Royal Challengers in IPL cricket league

Sourav ganguly at the launch of Kolkata Knight Riders

Sourav Ganguly ’s Kolkata Knight Riders take on the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the Indian Premier League cricket tournament

In the next couple of hours, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be underway and Sourav Ganguly ’s Kolkata Knight Riders will play against the Bangalore Royal Challengers.

I have always been a great fan of Sourav Ganguly ’s captaincy and this will be a great opportunity to watch Sourav ’s captaincy against his “good friend” Rahul Dravid ’s Royal Challengers

Sourav Ganguly has been India’s best captain ever, but handling the diverse dressing room of the Kolkata Knight Riders will not be easy

Sourav Ganguly is a masterly leader and the way he handled the batting greats of Indian cricket, namely Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman suggest that he will be equal to handling Ricky Ponting,Hussey and Chris Gayle

Sourav Ganguly brings to the table his own brand of no-nonsense die-hard captaincy, along with his incredible people handling skills. One would have to watch how his Kolkata Knight Riders team fares especially against the pace bowling of Dale Steyn

Will Sourav Ganguly be late for IPL ’s inaugural toss and will Rahul Dravid be subjected to the Steve Waugh treatment? Probably Not!

Man of the match : Damien Martyn

Damien Martyn finally strikes form in the ICL World cricket series,as ICL World thrash ICL India by 8 wickets

Damien Martyn showed his class for the first time in the ICL World series cricket match. Damien Martyn’s innings came at the right time for the ICL (Indian Cricket League) ,midst allegations in some quarters that the leading cricket stars of the cricketing world such as Brian Lara were simply lured by the moolah offered, and were not pulling their weight

Damien Martyn has finally struck good form, will the legendary Chris Cairns (my favorite allrounder) also play another match winning innings

Ambati Rayadu- hero for Hyderabad Heroes in ICL

Originally uploaded by sehwag

Ambati Rayadu played an incredible knock as the Hyderabad Heroes win the Indian Cricket League

Ambati Rayadu played a set of great knocks as the Hyderabad Heroes progressively got better and finally beat the Indian Cricket League

Ambati Rayadu was never given a chance by the Indian cricket selectors but proved his immense talent in the ICL

Ambati Rayadu was always termed as a flawed cricket batsmen by the Indian cricket selectors and cricketing pundits, but anyone who saw his incredible knocks in the ICL (Indian Cricket League) finals will appreciate his immense talent

Ambati Rayadu played well even against the great bowling attack of the Lahore Badshahs

The Lahore Badshahs had an incredible bowling attack with Naved-Ul-Hassan, Mohammed Sami,Mushtaq and Saqlain forming an incredible dream bowling combination

Rayadu however, showed his worth by being the only player in the Hyderabad Heroes to effectively counter this amazing bowling attack

Ambati Rayadu ’s great performance in the ICL once again underscores the talent that Indian cricket is missing, due to the banning of the ICL cricket players

Misbah-Ul-Haq has been picked up by the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the Indian Premier League ( IPL )

Misbah-Ul-Haq is probably one of the best cricketers in the world today, and the Bangalore Royal Challengers cricket franchise has made an amazing selection by picking up Misbah-Ul-Haq in the second auction of the Indian Premier League

Misbah-Ul-Haq is joined by Abdur Razzak ,Bangladesh left arm spinner and Shreevats Goswami, the Under 19 wicketkeeper in Bangalore Royal Challengers team

Its obvious that Rahul Dravid’s smart thinking brain is behind these excellent cricket selections – Misbah-Ul-Haq is an amazing batsman who will revel in the Indian ground conditions. In the last Pakistan tour of India, the Indian bowlers really struggled to get Misbah-Ul-Haq out, as he played even the great Anil Kumble with ease

The addition of Misbah Ul Haq makes the Bangalore Royal Challengers an excellent cricket team, boasting of champion cricketers such as Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble , Dale Steyn and now Misbah Ul Haq

Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistan batsman, and Indian Under-19 World Cup winning captain Virat Kohli have been bought by the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the second round of the Indian Premier League player auction in Mumbai today. The franchise also includes Bangladesh left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak and Indian U-19 wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami.
