Kapil Dev ’s Indian Cricket League (ICL) launches again with great fanfare

Kapil Dev has launched a new edition of the Indian Cricket League (ICL)- the rebel cricket league in competition to the Indian Premier League (IPL)

Kapil Dev ’s Indian Cricket League (ICL) – The Edelweiss 20s Challenge’ is being played at Panchkula near Chandigarh, a better location

The Indian Cricket League ( ICL ) is being played at a better ground at Chandigarh,Panchkula. The earlier edition of the Indian Cricket League ( ICL) was held on a really bad pitch and had lead to some really embarrassing moments for the ICL organizers

The new ICL (Indian Cricket League)venue at Panchkula is definitely a better ground and fans should get to see some great Twenty20 cricket

Kapil Dev’s Indian Cricket League (ICL) has some new teams and great players

The Indian Cricket League has some rather interesting cricket teams -such as the Lahore Badshahs and the Ahmedabad Rockets

The Lahore Badshahs, the latest cricket team in the Indian Cricket League (ICL) is made of ex-Pakistan cricket team players such as Inzamam Ul Haq,Abdul Razzak,Taufeeq Umar, Imran Farhat , Imran Nazir,Mohammed Sami,Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed & Arshad Khan.

Simply based on the bowling attack, the Lahore Badshahs are definitely one of the favorites to win the 2008 edition of the Indian Cricket League (ICL)

The Ahmedabad Rockets are led by the redoubtable Damien Martyn and have one of the strongest cricket teams in the Indian Cricket League

The Ahmedabad Rockets have some incredible players such as captain Damien Martyn,Wavell Hinds, Murray Goodwin,Sachin Dholpure, Sriram Sridharan,Anshu Jain,Jason Gillespie,Heath Streak,Reetinder Sodhi and Rakesh Patel

The Ahmedabad Rockets have a good chance in the Indian Cricket League (ICL) with a good mix of local and international cricketing talents

Will Kapil Dev, the inspirational leader of the Indian Cricket League, lead the ICL to be a worthwhile competitor to the IPL (the Indian Premier League?

Lets wait and watch if the ICL – the Indian Cricket League can deliver- meanwhile this is a great opportunity to see great talents like Brian Lara,Inzamam Ul Haq and Lance Klusener before they completely disappear from the cricket circuit

England Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket – Daniel Vettori missed

England thrash New Zealand in the Twenty20 cricket series as New Zealand cricket team misses Daniel Vettori

The England Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket series was incredibly one-sided as the New Zealand cricket team missed the services of the Kiwi cricket team’s captain, Daniel Vettori

In Vettori’s absence, the England cricket team toyed with the New Zealand cricket team’s bowlers in the England Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket series, as Dmitri Mascrenhas and Paul Collingwood walked away with Twenty20 cricket man of the match honours

Daniel Vettori was the best bowler of the Twenty20 cricket World cup

Daniel Vettori is probably the best spinner ever for New Zealand cricket and he has demonstrated his expertise in spin bowling even in Twenty20 cricket. Daniel Vettori has been effective even against good spin batsmen such as those of the Indian cricket team

The absence of Daniel Vettori is a big blow to the balance of the New Zealand cricket team already hurt by the exodus of cricketers such as Nathan Astle and more recently Shane Bond

Daniel Vettori’s return to the New Zealand cricket team should herald a change in the fortunes of the New Zealand cricket team in Twenty20 cricket, one day international cricket and even test cricket

Mahendra Singh Dhoni ’s recipe for disaster in Twenty20 cricket match

Mahendra Singh Dhoni ’s youngsters get thrashed in India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket match at Melbourne

Mahendra Singh Dhoni ’s Indian cricket team has lost to the Australian cricket team in the India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket match.

Well, saying the Indian cricket team lost to Australia In the Twenty20 cricket match is an euphemism- in reality, the Indian cricket team did not quite know what hit them as they were bowled out for 73 runs off just 17 overs!

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will realise that even in Twenty20 cricket, experience does after all count

Mahendra Singh Dhoni insisted on filling his Twenty20 cricket team with young cricketers discarding the talents and experience of veteran Indian cricketers such as Dravid , Ganguly and Laxman. Even Sachin Tendulkar was left out of this Twenty20 cricket match against the Australian cricket team.

A recipe for disaster in Twenty20 cricket or any other international cricket match-Not selecting talented cricketers

The Australian cricket players cannot believe their luck as Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the Indian cricket selectors have decided to not select any of the senior Indian cricket players for the Twenty20 cricket match and the subsequent one day international cricket matches

The Indian cricket team’s selection woes have ensured that the Australian cricket team had an easy win over India in the Twenty20 cricket match at Melbourne

India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket match at Melbourne-Can Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men revive the magic?

The India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket international will be played at the Melbourne cricket ground (MCG) on Feb 1,2008

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s young Indian cricketers have a really tough task ahead as the Indian cricket team takes on the Australian cricket team in the Twenty20 cricket international

Mahendra Singh Dhoni may miss Laxman,Ganguly and Dravid

For this India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket match,Mahendra Singh Dhoni may have asked for a young side that excluded all the veteran Indian cricketers with the exception of Sachin Tendulkar, but may regret his decision.

As the Indian Twenty20 and one day international cricket team may realize, that on Australian pitches, what matters is acclimatization to bouncy Australian tracks, and an ability to play under pressure against the world’s toughest cricket team

India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket international- Will the Harbhajan episode be a positive for the Indian cricket team

The Harbhajan Singh episode may again serve to motivate the Indian cricket team to do well in the India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket match at Melbourne.

The last time the Indian cricket team had a strike in Sydney, they recovered well to beat the Australian cricket team at Perth- this Indian cricket team’s strike at Adelaide may help them again stage a surprise in this Twenty20 cricket match against the Australian cricket team

Dhoni and his men face a severe challenge to their India Vs Australia Twenty20 cricket supremacy when they meet Australia

Shaun Tait demolishes New Zealand in Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international

Shaun Tait returned from injury to demolish New Zealand in Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket Match summary :Australia 186/6. New Zealand 132 all out in 18.3 overs

Shaun Tait has demolished the New Zealand cricket team in the Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match.

Shaun Tait picked up two wickets off his first over in the Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international to peg the New Zealand cricket team. In addition to Shaun Tait, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson and Noffke produced a superlative bowling effort to restrict the New Zealand cricket team to just 132 runs in this sole Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match at the WACA in Perth

Shaun Tait struck with the ball, Andrew Symonds slammed with the bat in this Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international

Andrew Symonds continued with his great batting form in this Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international by scoring 85 runs off just 54 runs.

Once Andrew Symonds snapped the New Zealand cricket team’s confidence in this Twenty20 cricket match, Shaun Tait applied salt on their wounds by getting two wickets in his first over to end any hope of the New Zealand cricket team’s fightback

The Australian cricket team is relieved to beat the New Zealand cricket team in the Twenty20 cricket international at Perth, the recent twenty20 losses to the Indian cricket team had dented the Australian cricket team’s confidence in the Twenty20 cricket format

Michael Clarke captain for Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

Michael Clarke, will he silence his critics?

Michael Clarke captain for Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match at Perth

Michael Clarke has been surprisingly named captain of the Australian cricket team for the Twenty20 cricket international between the Australia and New Zealand cricket teams

Michael Clarke was obviously surprised and pleased at being given this great opportunity to captain the Australian cricket team for the Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

Michael Clarke ’s appointment as Australian cricket captain for the Twenty20 cricket match is a snub for Adam Gilchrist

The Australian cricket board obviously does not think highly of Adam Gilchrist’s captaincy skills and has appointed Michael Clarke as the Australian cricket captain for the Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international at Perth

The Twenty20 cricket match does not have Gilchrist as the Australian cricket captain as the selectors perhaps think that Adam Gilchrist is too much of a nice guy to be the next Aussie cricket captain and Michael Clarke fits the bill!

Michael Clarke is being groomed as the next Australian cricket captain after Ricky Ponting and this Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match is the first step and test for Michael Clarke

Michael Clarke needs to prove to the Australian selectors that he is good enough to captain this great Australian cricket team and this Aaustralia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international will a test of his calibre as Australian cricket captain

Also, Ricky Ponting is not exactly getting old, and the appointment of Michael Clarke as Australian cricket captain for this Twenty20 cricket international will put some pressure on Ricky Ponting, in case things go wrong for the Australian cricket team in the absence of Shane Warne and McGrath

Michael Clarke needs to silence his critics through a good performance in the Australia Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international and prove that he can command the respect of his Australian cricket colleagues

South Africa beat New Zealand in South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match- South Africa cricket team beat New Zealand

Twenty20 cricket match summary : New Zealand 129/7 , South Africa 130/7 off 19.5 overs

The South African cricket team beat the New Zealand cricket team by the narrowest of margins at the Wanderers cricket ground.

The New Zealand cricket team made 129 runs for 7 wickets against the South African cricket team. Amazingly, the South African cricket team huffed and puffed and just about managed to pull off a win against the South African cricket team in the Twenty20 cricket match.

The South African cricket team tried their best to lose in the South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

The South African cricket team failed in their attempt to lose the Twenty20 international against New Zealand!

Chasing a meagre target of 130 runs set by the New Zealand cricket team in the Twenty20 cricket match, the South African cricket team were 89/3 but managed to struggle and just win off the second last ball of the Twenty20 cricket international

The exciting win for the South African cricket team made for great theatre and an endorsement for Twenty20 cricket, but was a poor exhibition of finishing cricket matches.

AB De Villiers was the hero for South Africa in this South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match

AB De Villiers did not open the batting but played a match winning knock in this Twenty20 cricket international after being sent two-down by the Graeme Smith, the South African cricket captain. The apparently “cool” strategy of opening the batting with the in-form Kallis obviously failed miserably, but AB de Villiers once again demonstrated his talent with an unbeaten 52 to take South Africa to an unconvincing win in this South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket international

In summary, another close Twenty20 cricket international and the days of one day international cricket seem to be numbered

Is Mahendra Singh Dhoni a great Twenty20 cricket captain?

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh

Is Mahendra Singh Dhoni really a great Twenty20 cricket captain

As Mahendra Singh Dhoni has found out, Twenty20 cricket is a real challenge to cricketing captains. However, given the limited exposure of international cricket teams to Twenty20 cricket, captaincy in Twenty20 cricket is currently limited to being on your toes as a captain and taking quick decisions

Mahendra Singh Dhoni ’s captaincy style is suited to current Twenty20 cricket

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a captaincy style suited to current Twenty20 cricket. Mahendra Singh Dhoni smiles all the time, and never gets ruffled by either defeat or victory.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni may be an old school inspired captain of the Imran Khan variety, but when Twenty20 cricket is still in its infancy, the Australian way of analyzing and taking decisions based on computerized analysis is not yet effective

Mahendra Singh Dhoni ’s in-your-face blunt captaincy and his rapport with Yuvraj Singh, is the reason for the success of the Indian cricket team

Upcoming Twenty20 cricket international matches-South Africa Vs New Zealand

Upcoming Twenty20 cricket international matches-South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match at the New Wanderers Stadium,Johaneesburg,23 November,2007

The South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match is set to happen at the already historic New Wanderers Stadium in Johaneesburg. The South African cricket authorities have always been really supportive of Twenty20 cricket. Having the South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket match so close to the Twenty20 cricket World cup again affirms the support of the South African cricket board towards Twenty20 cricket

The South Africa Vs New Zealand Twenty20 cricket contest will be an evenly matched contest

The New Zealand cricket team is a really good exponent of Twenty20 cricket and can be expected to really test South Africa in the Twenty20 cricket international at the New Wanderers stadium,Johaneesburg

The New Zealand cricket team looked good enough to win the Twenty20 cricket World cup, but a little lapse in their concentration at a crucial junction against the Pakistan cricket team cost them the opportunity to win the Twenty20 cricket World cup

The New Zealand cricket team seems ideally suited for Twenty20 cricket, a lot of bits and pieces players who can bat and bowl reasonably well

New Zealand’s Daniel Vettori was probably the best bowler in the Twenty20 World cup

Daniel Vettori will be a force to reckon with for the South African cricket team in the New Zealand Vs South Africa Twenty20 cricket match

Daniel Vettori is probably the best spinner in the world today, debatably in all forms of cricket, but definitely the best spinner in Twenty20 cricket. Daniel Vettori may be the difference between the New Zealand and South Africa cricket teams, as the South African cricket team has quality fast bowlers in Ntini and Nel, but no great spinner

An exciting Twenty20 cricket match between the New Zealand and South Africa cricket teams, two quality Twenty20 cricket teams that narrowly missed winning the Twenty20 cricket World cup

Will the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 cricket tournament be as boring as watching elephants race?

The rebel Indian Cricket League Twenty20 tournament schedule has been announced without much fanfare and media publicity. The Indian Cricket League Twenty20 matches are starting on November 30, though only scratchy details of the tournament schedule have been announced so far

Kapil Dev ’s Indian Cricket League Twenty20 cricket tournament has been dynamited by BCCI’s Indian Premier League

The marketing whizzes of the BCCI have effectively blunted the challenge posed by Kapil Dev ’s Indian Cricket League by firstly poaching all the top players of the Indian Cricket League such as Yousof Mohammed, Shane Warne and Steve McGrath

The prize money offered by the Indian Premier League is also incredibly high compared to Kapil Dev ’s Twenty20 Indian Cricket League and this has caused some more cricketers from Kapil Dev’s Indian Cricket League to jump ship and join BCCI’s Twenty20 cricket Indian Premier League

The Indian Cricket League ’s Twenty20 cricket tournament still boasts of talents such as Brian Lara and Chris Cairns

The Indian Cricket League Twenty20 cricket matches will still boast of incredible talents such as Brian Lara, Upul Chandana, Nathan Astle and Chris Cairns. Also, almost entire Indian Ranji trophy teams such as the Hyderabad Ranji cricket team have defected to the Indian Cricket League ’s Twenty20 cricket format

In summary, the Twenty20 tournament as part of the Indian Cricket League is a great opportunity for Kapil Dev to showcase great cricket talents such as Brian Lara and Chris Cairns probably for the last time
